GARTH STEVENSON is a prominent voice in the New York music scene. Born in Kelowna, British Columbia, he studied piano from a young age, then switched to the double bass at fourteen. He is well-known as a bassist, composer, arranger, producer and electronic musician and has performed with many legendary ensembles throughout the world. His solo composition, “Grandfather”, for double bass with electronics, won the International Society of Double Bassists Composition Competition. In addition to his on Red Knot, he recently competed the musical score for John Curran’s Tracks starring Mia Wasikowska and Adam Driver.
